This is the 29th Edition of the annual International Tourism and Travel Show, held traditionally each fall at the Montreal's Place Bonaventure. This is an extremely popular event not only for those who love to travel, but also for the virtual travellers who would like to know more about travelling and the world. Do not hesitate to attend this year's exhibition since it offers many not only interesting but also exotic destinations. 

This event brings under the same exhibition roof tour operators, travel agents, and the tourism offices representatives from many countries who can answer all the visitors' questions and address all their travelling concerns. It is a great opportunity to consult 400 experts from around the world and find out about 250 destination featured in this year's Show.

There are around 300 conferences presented during the 3 days period of the Show, and one can enjoy continuous colourful performances.

There are also culinary international food preparation classes and an additional opportunity to taste other delicates.

Surprisingly, there is also an art section, with very colourful and striking paintings.

And there is also a possibility to buy decorative items made in some exotic places.

Spanish Wine 2017

SPAIN IN YOUR GLASS

Spanish wine was presented at the Montreal's Windsor Station by the FOODS AND WINES FROM SPAIN CANADA. There were 59 wine producers each displaying a number of wines and their special vintages. It was extremely hard to choose what to taste since the offering was so diverse and attractive.

This Spanish Wine Trade Show presented a great opportunity to celebrate the unique Spanish wine and cuisine experience. The wines being poured into glasses represented a great selection from all over the country. 

The Spanish tapas, jamón, olives, cheese and other culinary products were also showcased at the event. The wine and food flavours immersed visitors in Spanish atmosphere.

The Spanish atmosphere of the event was additionally enhanced  by the colourful live performance of Spanish songs and music. 

Look forward to the next presentation of Spanish wines in Montreal. This Spanish wine and food trade show was an educative and an enjoyable event.

Enormous Variety of Productions

As a classical music metropolis, Berlin ranks first. Renowned musicians and singers from all over the world perform regularly in Berlin or have moved to the city on the River Spree. Berlin has no less than three opera houses. Numerous productions from a variety of periods belong to the repertoires of the Deutsche Oper, Komische Oper, and the Staatsoper, the latter under the artistic direction of none other than Daniel Barenboim. The Staatsoper will probably remain housed in the Schillertheater in Charlottenburg until the summer of 2017, while its main venue at Unter den Linden is currently being extensively restored. The reopening ceremony has been planned for October 3, 2017.

Eight symphony orchestras complement the variety on offer in Berlin. The Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra is housed in the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt in what was previously East Berlin and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra was established in 1963 near the Potsdamer Platz in former West Berlin. The latter has 2,250 seats and provides an exceptional auditory experience due to Hans Scharoun’s architectural design. The Berlin Philharmonic – one of the world’s finest orchestras – is at home here. Illustrious names such as Wilhelm Furtwängler, Herbert von Karajan and Claudio Abbado have been responsible for its development. In 2019, Kirill Petrenko will succeed his colleague Sir Simon Rattle as its principal conductor.

Outside its East End, Berlin offers even more entertainment in all of its facets. The shows in the Wintergarten draw on the magnificent variety shows that were once held in this venue at the end of the 19th century. In the Bar Jeder Vernunft and in the Tipi am Kanzleramt, chanson and jazz concerts are held, as well as regular performances by stars of the cabaret and comedy scene in an incomparably intimate atmosphere.

Great musical productions are on show at the Theater des Westens as well as the Theater am Potsdamer Platz. At the latter, the successful musical “Hinterm Horizont” by Udo Lindenberg runs until August this year. More than 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, this piece with all the great Lindenberg songs tells a touching “East-West-Side-Story”. One of the most successful productions in Berlin is the Blue Man Group. Since their Berlin premiere in 2004, the group has delighted more than 2 million viewers at this Berlin venue which is unique in Europe. The dynamic and humorous show resides at the Bluemax Theater on the Marlene-Dietrich-Platz. It functions almost without words and is accordingly a real treat for foreign visitors.

Aug 26, 2017: 20th Gürtel Nightwalk

For one night, one of the capital’s most popular bar strips is transformed into Vienna’s biggest music venues. Stretching from the central library on Urban-Loritz-Platz to venues B72 and Loop via Chelsea and Rhiz, the section of the Gürtel between Thaliastrasse und Josefstädterstrasse will host around 20 open-air stages ready for free performances by Austrian and international music acts. The event will play out for the 20th time in 2017.

Sep 28-30, 2017: Waves Vienna - Music Festival & Conference

For four days, around 100 international acts will descend on various locations in the city bringing the sounds of alternative, rock, electronic and club music with them. Part of the festival, the Waves Vienna Music conference features lectures, panel discussions and workshops.

Greek Wines 2017

Greek Wines Tasting Event

Greek wine tasting is an annual spring event. This year, as in the past, it was also held at the Science Centre complex in Montreal's Old Port. 41 wineries were represented either by wine producers themselves or by their distributors and promotion teams. 

All the wine professionals from Montreal and other regions came to this event. They were very busy tasting as many wines as humanely possible, carefully picking from the wide variety of vintages present, also asking many questions and discussing the specific wine qualities, aroma, taste, and the Canadian availability.

The hall where the even was held was very spacious and bright, an excellent place for such a wine tasting fair. The scenery of the old Montreal architecture and the river could be seen through the large panoramic windows, contributing to the overall ambiance.

The participants definitely have something to look forward in the in the next year 2018, as this show always returns to Montreal in May.

More than a trade show, the Montreal's annual Design Show offers a cultural outing to explore individuals and companies active in the Montreal’s design milieux, and their products and ideas that make the design world exciting and inspiring.

Every year, this major Canadian design event is a unique chance to interact directly with suppliers and designers, where actual contacts replace virtual encounters, providing quality personal time. Over three consecutive days, visitors meet face to face with 300 firms offering hands-on solutions to all their design, decoration and space planning requirements.

Open to the public, design lovers and consumers, the SIDIM offers the opportunity to meet the experts to discuss various future projects, to attend product launches, and get inspired by the latest interior design trends. 

A significant floor space is offered to works of art, as they go hand in hand with the interior and exterior design settings. This year, the artistic presence is quite remarkable.
