Salon du Livre 2019: 42nd Edition

Le Salon du livre de Montréal 2019
Montreal Annual Book Show

November 20-25, 2019

This year's Book Show, judging on the number of visitors during the first three days, is promising to be a great success. At it's usual location at Place Bonaventure, this most exciting Book Show that always takes place in Montreal in November, attracts enormously large crowds. Visiting during the first two days of the show, one gets truly overwhelmed with the great number of school children and their teachers, brought in by many school buses.

The children's curiosity and excitement about the books is truly contagious. They form long cues to their favorite authors to have their just purchased books signed by them. They also hurdle around children book displays and look through the books that attracts their attention.

SPECIAL REGARD on UKRAINE

This year, Ukraine, its literature and its creators will be spotlighted at a brand new section «Clin d’oeil à... ». A number of events and conferences are scheduled on Ukrainian literature with the presence of Ukrainian authors, including the great Andrey Kurkov. There is also a kiosk promoting Ukrainian books and Ukraine, where visitors can learn more about the culture of this country.

There is a lot to discover at this year's Book Show. Everybody will be able to find just the right books for personal reading, or the books to be gifted to friends and family during the upcoming holiday season.
