May 8, 2018

This tasting trade session in Montreal offered to the visitors a chance to discover over 100 wines from the different regions across New Zealand. Since the distinctive wine-growing regions are spread around the country, each has its own unique soils and climatic conditions that determine the wine they produce.

New Zealand wineries that participated at the event included:
Akarua, Lion, Accolade Wine, Jules Taylor,  Mission Estate, Stoneleigh VineyardsYealands Family Wines, Toi Toi Wines, Astrolabe Wines, Sacred Hill Vineyards, Kim Crawford Wines, Craggy Range, Oyster Bay, Babich Wines, Whitehaven Wine Company, Giesen Group, Loveblock Vintners, Lawson Dry Hills, Schubert Wines.

The event took place in the Montreal's Old Port, at the Marché Bonsecours. The wine trade tasting was preceded by a Masterclass hosted by Nadia Fournier.

The event was well attended by the wine professionals who were eager to taste the new wines and discover the exotic flavours of the far away land.

A large table with food - a variety of cheese and cold cuts - offered a welcomed brake from the wine tasting and assured sobriety, since there was so much wine to taste and to enjoy!
