Since 2011, the Quebec Conseil des métiers d'art (CMAQ) has pursued an important work of identifying and recognizing artisans working in the architectural and heritage sectors. These holders of specialized know-how, of leading-edge expertise, are now part of a network of professionals recognized by the public, contractors, architects and professionals.

In response to the new mandate and the current real passion for heritage professions, the CMAQ proposed the Rendez-vous Maestria that allows professionals and the general public to meet specialized craftsmen who display traditional techniques essential for both contemporary creation and specialized interventions to support the Quebec's architectural heritage.

This new annual event is an open door on the diversity of the professionals who collaborate in protecting the richness of our common heritage linked to architecture and specialized crafts.
